Hana Banana

Hana is a very bubbly person that creates a wonderful space to engage in language learning. As someone who is not yet proficient in Japanese and tends to be naturally more passive in conversation, Hana intuitively understands this and remains proactive throughout by asking questions and providing clear and concise explanations of things I don’t understand. Conversation is an art, a dance if you will, and despite the challenging nature of speaking in a second language, I can think of few partners that would be better than Hana. いつもありがとう。☺️

Hana is an exceptional teacher who quickly puts you at ease and is extremely attentive to making the lessons engaging. I learn new vocabulary every time I have a lesson with her. After over 2 years of taking classes with Hana, not only have I improved my Japanese proficiency and gained confidence in speaking, but we have also developed a strong friendship. Now, every lesson feels like catching up with a friend in a Tokyo café. I cannot recommend her teaching enough!

This was my last lesson before my trip to Tokyo and I feel so much more confident in my Japanese than before I started my lessons! Hana-sensei has been a great teacher so far and has really helped me feel more positive about both my speaking and listening abilities. Now, I can't wait to try everything I've learned so far during my trip, and I'm also looking forward to more fun lessons in the future! はな先生また教えてくれてありがとうございます！これからもよろしくお願いします！

I love Hana!! I enjoy her lessons and learning with her. She reviews her materials very well and I also enjoy the conversation lessons with her. I want to have more lessons with her : )
