Shinegi Duong 先生

Duong is a good teacher and is patient with me. And takes time to explain things. She gives me exercises for homework. This can be listening exercises or writing a short text. She puts class notes in a google doc for my later reference. She also has created a document with slides with pictures to explain words. Sometimes uses Youtube or Google images to explanation as well. Good teacher!

Great lesson with Shinegi! We looked at some opposite words (big/small, etc) and where similar words are and aren't used (to vs lớn, etc.). We also spent some time practicing the differences between o, ô and ơ. We did an exercise where I said a word with one of these vowels, and Shinegi would write down what she heard. I was happy that most of them Shinegi heard what I meant to say, which means my pronunciation is getting better thanks to Shinegi!

Great lesson with Shinegi! We read through a funny cartoon. After that, we learned about như and other common words/grammar. Shinegi is also helping me to improve my spelling, listening and pronunciation. For some things, I need to review them but Shinegi is patient with me and is very encouraging!

Great lesson with Shinegi! We took another look at "ai" vs. "ay", and practiced listening and pronunciation. These vowel combinations sound very similar, and it's important to be able to distinguish them. We answered several questions that contained either (or both) in the answer. Shinegi also had me type the words to check the spelling. I can tell that working with Shinegi is helping me with all of the language skills I need!
