Hello, My name is Yu. Please feel free to call me Yu, Yu-chan or Yu-san. I am also looking forward to hearing some new nicknames! I was born and raised in Wakayama, Japan. I left Japan in 2014 to live in Canada, then I moved to the UK in 2018. I have worked in many industries included teaching English to children, working as a dental hygienist, a sushi chef and a beauty therapist, also other interesting jobs. In my free time, I like watching movies, anime, and dramas. I love eating, traveling, golf and yoga! If you want to improve your speaking and listening skills, I would like to be your teacher! I can also help with your vocabulary, pronunciation and daily phrases. Please tell me what you want to talk about, or what kind of conversation situations you want to learn/improve. Yu-san makes you feel comfortable and is amazing at dictating the flow of the lesson to maximise its usefulness. She is able to determine your level of Japanese, and accommodates it whilst catering to your goals. She also has a wealth of materials to help you learn. I would recommend Yu-san to Japanese learners of all levels and goals.

I've done both conversation classes and Genki II classes with Yuu for a long time, and they've always been excellent. I strongly recommend Yuu as a teacher!

I have been working with Yu for several months now, and I cannot recommend her enough! She has been so supportive and kind since day one, and makes learning Japanese such a wonderful, positive experience. I will definitely continue learning with her.
