Isabel Heredia

I've worked with Isabel since April of 2024. I knew basic Spanish and wanted to take on the challenge to become fluent for personal growth and to help with my career. Compared to where I started, I can now participate in more complex conversations, easily read/write in Spanish, and assist Spanish speaking clients in my job. Isabel has done a phenomenal job at identifying topics relevant to my interests/goals. She's patient when I stumble with lengthy sentences and celebrates outside-of-class victories [like doing a small presentation in Spanish for work or reading an entire book in Spanish]! She used interactive presentations and videos in the beginning and now that most of the grammar is done, we focus on open-dialog to improve conversational skills and blending everything I've learned. Isabel has made something as daunting as learning a second language fun, digestible, and accessible.

I have taken around 100 classes with Isabel, there are a few things that I really like about her classes. 1. Isabel is very good at speaking to you at a level that you find comprehensible. As someone that started at a pretty low level she has always spoken to me with patience and clarity. 2. Isabel is very good at understanding your output. Obviously as learners our speech may have errors, Isabel manages to understand/decipher the point you are trying to make a very high percentage of the time. 3. Isabel has a lot of materials on a lot of different topics. Even after a large number of classes she always has new and interesting materials/videos for me to go through. 4. Isabel has high level of mental stamina. Classes are long and it's hard to stay mentally engaged for up to an hour of time. No matter where we are at in our class she is always giving corrections, asking clarifying questions, and providing useful information. 5. If needed, Isabel has excellent English. Thanks!

Isabel is a wonderful teacher. Mi español es muy mal, but she is very patient and helpful.

Isabel is great, she provides wonderful feedback and corrects without disturbing the conversation at all. She is very easy to talk to and helps lead the conversation. It is clear that she is focusing on helping me achieve my goals.

My Spanish lesson with Isabel was a great experience! She is very patient and supportive, which made the lesson feel comfortable from the start. Isabel explained things clearly and adapted the lesson to my needs, making sure I understood before moving on. She also provided notes, visuals, and well-organized documents to help with learning and practicing. It was a very enjoyable lesson, leaving me feeling motivated and excited to keep learning!
