🎓 MA in Teaching Chinese | UK QTS | Qualified Mandarin Teacher 你好，我是嘉玲。 Hi, I am Jialing. I am a Chinese native speaker and I am currently living in the UK. I’ve been teaching Chinese for over 6 years, teaching learners from Year 3 to adults, both in schools and universities in the UK. I believe that Chinese learning should be engaging, meaningful and enjoyable. In my lessons, I prioritise interaction, clear scaffolding and real-life use of the language, so that students feel supported, confident and motivated to speak. Nothing makes me prouder than seeing beginners grow in confidence and develop a genuine interest in the Chinese language and culture. ​I look forward to seeing you soon! I’m a patient, encouraging, and well-trained teacher who believes everyone can learn Chinese with the right support. I’ve worked with students who lacked confidence or motivation, and I’m proud of helping many beginners make fast progress. The lessons with Jialing are always great. I have a lot of fun learning Chinese. Most of all I enjoy that I can ask all kinds of questions and that Jialing is really patient with me.

Jialing was very fast to accpet the class and prepared a document to talk over Chinese food we both like. The conversation flowed really well and we finished a 1 hour talking class in what felt like 20 minutes. I would recommend Jialing to anyone looking to practice conversational Mandarin. Although she can also teach HSK too if that's what you are interested in.

I'm a started in Mandarin and Jialing Dong is very patient and understanding. She prepares before every class a plan and works with me to understand the material and improve myself. I really recommend you book a class with her
