Hi, my name is Verena and I have been teaching German to students from all over the world for the last five years! Besides tailor-made language courses from levels A1 to C1, I also offer test preparation for TestDAF, Goethe-Zertifikat and TELC. I am based in Thailand, but used to live in London and Berlin, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in linguistics and communication sciences.
Apart from languages (currently trying to learn Spanish!) and meeting new people, scuba diving and travelling are my biggest passions. I am an avid reader, amateur chef and baker and a self proclaimed coffee addict.Öğretmen Olarak Ben
Are you a bit nervous about booking an online class? Don't be! In my classes I try to put my students at ease, so they feel comfortable and relaxed. For me, every student is special and I prepare every lesson based on their individual needs and goals. I also pride myself on my listening skills and put a lot of work into my students’ confidence to speak. My lessons are tailor-made for my students: some like structured lessons with textbooks and grammar exercises, while others prefer something more easy-going. It's up to you!

italki - italki - 2022Dear Sir/Madam,
I have been teaching test preparation for German language exams for the last three years on italki. In total I have taught 181 lessons for test preparation (see screen shot attached) and my reviews have consitantly been 5 stars. There is no easily obtainable certificate for teaching test preparation for the German language, so I hope my experience on italki will suffice for the upgrade.

Another great lesson with Verena, I have been studying with her for some time now and each time I'm very excited for the next lesson. I like how she corrects me and I make sure not to repeat the same mistakes. Learning with Verena is very easy and always fun, we always have a lot to talk about and one hour with her flies way too fast. I also like the materials she is using for studying, the books are very well structured and help not only with speaking and reading, but also with grammar and vocabulary.

Studying with Verena is always engaging - we never run out of things to discuss, and the time just flies by. I also enjoy the study materials she uses; the books are well-structured and support not just speaking and reading, but also grammar and vocabulary development.

Verena war sehr freundlich, mit klarer Aussprache. Gut fand ich, dass sie Fehler gleich korrigiert, damit sie sich nicht einschleifen. Außerdem hat sie gute Tipps zur Deutschprüfung gegeben.
