Andrea Olvera

Andrea makes for a amazing Spanish teacher. We always talk about interesting topics because she is great at guiding the conversation. She's also extremely relaxed as a tutor. You could talk about any topic and she will stay engaged, even if it is out of her area of expertise. She is fluent in English, so you can easily ask her for help when you need it. During the lesson, she will provide corrections and vocabulary/grammar suggestions to help you improve as quickly as possible. I'd say to bring a notebook for all the suggestions but Andrea keeps notes of every one of them, making it easy to review after each lesson. I recommend her as your new teacher, especially if you are looking for someone who is extremely knowledgeable in Sociology, Anthropology, and History.

Andrea is a great teacher! She's very patient and also engaging when presenting new material. She is good about listening to my goals and catering our lessons toward them. Highly recommend!

I love Andrea! She is patient and knowledgeable, makes class fun, and will adjust to any student's needs. Andrea is expertly fluent in English, so no matter your level, even if you don't know a single Spanish word, you will have her from day one. And, if you're interested in conversation practice, she has a variety of wide-ranging interests and can converse on any topic. If you give her class a try, you will not regret it.

Andrea was incredible for our first meeting. She stands out among other teachers I have had on this platform. Her ability to track my mistakes in the chat pane while allowing me time and space to work out my words created a perfect lesson for us to chat. We had a fine chat about many things. I especially appreciated her command of her native language. She was able to share rules and concepts as an intellectual. This provides greater clarity for me to focus on my blindspots.

It's always great to study with Andrea as she is relaxed, super smart, and very experienced. I wish I could take more classes with her.
