I am Wietske, 31 years old and currently living in Oslo, Norway. I grew up in the Netherlands (Friesland, the northern part), but later moved to Utrecht and to The Hague. Me learning Norwegian inspired me to also get involved as a community tutor for helping people to learn Frisian.

I've been waiting years for a Frisian teacher on Italki, so I'm so glad Wietske joined the site. I enjoyed chatting with her and she was extremely patient with my limited and rusty Frisian. Recommended to those who want to learn Frisian (and you really should!) Tankewol, oant sjen!

Wietske is a great teacher. It is only the first lesson but she is already helping me a lot. She is very precise, friendly and focused. I highly recommend her.

Finally we have an excellent Frisian teacher on Italki. She has materials ready including PowerPoint but she will also work with whatever method you prefer. She is a great teacher!
