Hi there! My name's Valentin, and my thing is teaching languages around the world. I first started teaching in Istanbul, Turkey, 10 years ago. I then got back to France to graduate from a 2 years Masters in Teaching Foreign Languages in Toulouse, France, and I've kept traveling around since then! Bonjour! Je m'appelle Valentin, et mon truc à moi c'est d'enseigner les langues dans le monde. Je crois que l'échec, les erreurs, les mots mal dits et les phrases mal faites sont très importantes pour apprendre une langue, et mon objectif principal quand je donne cours est toujours de faire en sorte que mes élèves s'amusent et se sentent à l'aise pour pouvoir mieux apprendre.

I've had the chance to work in a variety of institutions, including universities and language schools, from Spain to Sri Lanka, Canada and Vietnam. The diversity of settings I've worked in has taught me to be a flexible, open-minded and adaptable language teacher: nothing like facing 15 close-mouthed students from a culture you barely know to teach someone the importance of planing your lesson in accordance with your teaching audience, trust me! I'm a firm believer in failure and fun as part of any learning process, and my number one goal as a teacher has always been to make sure that my students always feel comfortable in class, whether it comes from the teacher or the teaching material.

Trained in a European university, I abide by the incredibly dull yet profoundly useful European frame of reference for language learning, which sets a steady progression for any kind of learner, from complete beginner to café-ordering sass-handling advanced speaker. Come learn a foreign language in a fun and relaxed way! It's important to me to tailor all my classes to my students' objectives and personalities.

Valentin, is a fabulous teacher. He goes at your pace. I feel he offers a safe place to make a fool out of myself in the very early stages of my language learning journey. He gives me actionable homework and his lessons have given me more confidence in my chosen language.
