Hi, I’m Carmen!
Originally I’m from Hannover, Germany. Since 2019 I’ve been living in a valley in Italy, located between the Alps and Lake Como. I feel fortunate to call this place home.
I have 4+ years of teaching experience on italki, with over 5.000 hours of lessons completed. I started as a community tutor, but since 2021 I'm a certified B2 and C1 Telc instructor, with also a solid background in the office sector from my previous career.
Beyond teaching, I’m passionate about staying active with sports like CrossFit, hiking, and cycling. I also enjoy going to music shows, collecting vinyl records, and caring for our sweet dog and cats.Öğretmen Olarak Ben
Learning a new language as an adult comes with its challenges, and I’m here to support you through them. My approach is professional yet casual, providing a comfortable environment where you can learn at your own pace.
As a native German speaker, I’ll help you with clear pronunciation and a neutral "Standard German" accent, making it easier for you to communicate effectively. I’m also fluent in English and can assist you in Italian if needed, ensuring you feel at ease throughout our lessons.

In my lessons, I focus on creating a relaxed, yet engaging and effective learning environment tailored to your specific needs.
I offer grammar and conversation classes where you’ll have the chance to speak as much German as possible so that you’ll become more confident! I’ll provide easy-to-understand grammar explanations and I’ll gently guide you to sound natural and fluent.
For your and our lesson notes you’ll receive your personal Google Doc!

Carmen is my teacher over two years already. During this time she was super focusing on me and my results. She's really dedicated to her job which is very important. Thanks to her I now have a job with german language and I am using my skills proudly :)
I still continue the process with her to master my level. I never had such good teacher so if you're looking for a top class teacher- here she is!!!

When I started studying with Carmen three years ago, my level was B2. Now I'm a happy owner of a C2 Goethe certificate (with 100 points for speaking). And I can't be grateful enough. Carmen always does everything perfectly, regarding not only the exam preparation but also the regular classes. Being a teacher myself, I can highly recommend her and call her a real professional!
