Hi! I'm Elsa, a native Portuguese speaker from Cape Town, South Africa. I'm a language teacher with 3 years of experience teaching English, and now I’m excited to teach Portuguese as well. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a translator and child educator, gaining valuable skills in communication and working with learners of all ages.
I have a passion for languages and connecting with people. I’m currently learning Spanish and French, which gives me insight into the challenges my students face when learning a new language. Outside of teaching, I enjoy the gym, watching movies, exploring new hobbies, and listening to music. I love talking about culture, travel, and many topics.Öğretmen Olarak Ben

I believe learning should be fun and engaging, and I enjoy tailoring my lessons to suit your needs and interests. I’m passionate about helping my students feel confident in their language skills, whether it’s improving conversation, grammar, or writing. Elsa is an exceptional teacher. She was attentive and genuinely interested in what I was saying, so I felt relaxed during the lesson. She asked thoughtful questions to get me speaking more, so I felt like I got a lot of conversation practice. She gave the perfect amount of feedback, using the text box to show me my corrections. She was patient, and I enjoyed the calm pace of the lesson--she listened closely to me, allowing me to finish my sentences instead of interrupting me with a correction in the middle of a phrase. I will definitely take more lessons with her because I believe my Portuguese will improve quickly with her style of teaching.
