Hallo zusammen! Ich bin Sascha, gebürtiger Dortmunder mit mexikanischem Lebensmittelpunkt – ein Historiker (M.A. Mittelalter/Neuzeit/Religionswissenschaften) und leidenschaftlicher Kulturvermittler. Meine Stärke? Dir als fortgeschrittenem Lerner (B1-C2) Deutsch *nah am echten Leben* beizubringen: ob in lockeren Plauderstunden oder mit historischen Themen (mein Steckenpferd!). Meine Liebe zu Musik, Filmen und Rollenspielen fließt oft in den Unterricht ein – so wird’s nie langweilig. Since I am not a certified teacher, I can be your tutor as a native tongue speaker. My knowledge regarding methods of teaching can be of some value to you because during my studies I also attended courses with didactic and pedagogical implications in addition to my German Studies program.
Everyone is invited to my classes to enhance their German language skills in a relaxed atmosphere with me. Language lessons should be fun and should contribute to a student's motivation.

I offer flexible, conversation-based lessons for adult learners at B1–C2 level. I only use materials if explicitly requested – otherwise we focus on natural dialogue. You’re encouraged to speak freely; I’ll correct only when helpful and send notes or exercises if needed. Lessons are informal but focused on your goals – grammar, vocabulary, fluency or cultural topics.
We can meet via italki Classroom or Microsoft Teams (Zoom is also available for 30-min sessions). If you prefer a particular platform, just let me know. After booking, I’ll send you the appropriate link. Let’s create a learning space that fits you.Öğretim materyallerim

I have been working with Sascha for a year now and am extremely pleased with my progress. With Sascha, not only can you expand your knowledge of the German language, history and culture, but also he is a very knowledgeable source on many other scholarly topics. Most importantly though, I have found Sascha to be a friend in addition to being a teacher. He is very understanding and clearly always strives to do his best to carry out his responsibilities. I would recommend him a thousand times over!

Sascha is not the type of tutors who corrects your every mistake as you speak. Instead he lets you finish your thoughts without getting nervous about seeing corrections in chat while you are still mid-sentence. In the conversation class he lets the conversation flow naturally and only corrects really jarring mistakes. It was enjoyable learning about society in Germany and also Mexico (where he now lives) in the class.

Mein Ziel ist es, meine Sprachpraxis mit Muttersprachlern zu verbessern.
Mir gefällt besonders der Ansatz, so zu sprechen wie im echten Leben.
Mein Niveau ist offiziell B2, aber das ist nur ein Zertifikat.
Das wirkliche Leben gibt ganz andere Deutsch-Lektionen.
Sascha hilft meinem Gehirn, direkt auf Deutsch zu denken –
ohne zuerst zu übersetzen.

I liebe meine Klasse mit Sascha! Er ist so nett, sanft, warmherzig, demütig. I konnte sehr gestresst sein aber nimmer mit ihm. Konversation geschieht natürlich und aus dem Stegreif. Ich profitiere definitiv von seiner entspannten Art. Es gibt mir den Neid, zurückzukommen und weiterzumachen.
Zu sprechen fällt mir schwer aber ich verstehe immer mehr.
