Salut tout le monde,
Je suis Daphny, un Parisien à l’esprit cosmopolite: je pense qu’apprendre sur les autres, c’est un peu apprendre sur soi-même. Bien qu’étant né en Haïti, la capitale française est toutefois le lieu où j’ai grandi et acquis mon éducation.

I’m Daphny. Born in the French Caribbean, I was raised in Paris, France. However, for the past ten years I have been splitting my time between France and the United States. Open-minded, I’m here to make the learning process as smooth as possible. I enjoy literature, art, information technology, manga, anime, sport, working out and biking.Öğretmen Olarak Ben
J’ai une solide expérience dans l’enseignement :
- j’ai travaillé pendant plusieurs années dans des écoles ;
- dans ma jeunesse, j’ai aussi donné des cours particuliers.
La lecture (de la littérature classique française et internationale, et
d’ouvrages philosophiques et sociologiques) m’a permis d’acquérir la maîtrise des différents registres de langue. Je suis également titulaire d’une licence en sociologie.
I worked as teacher aide for several years. In my younger days, I was also a tutor. Reading classics and studying social science helped me to master the different variations of the language (levels of formality).

Ma méthodologie mélange une vision traditionnelle à une vision, que l’on pourrait qualifier de moderne ou d’atypique. Tout dépend de vous, de vos objectifs et de votre niveau de langue. On peut étudier un texte littéraire, un article, une chanson, un extrait de film, une vidéo…
Il ne faut pas se limiter.
My teaching style is open and fluid. I believe that some traditional methods are useful (study of grammatical rules, learning a useful or specific vocabulary,…).
One should nevertheless not be prisoner of them. Some things work for some people and others don’t. I just adapt to the need of the student. That’s why I like to incorporate music, videos and other unusual methods.Öğretim materyallerim

je recommande ce professeur pour les français qui souhaitent apprendre l'anglais, il parle français , les cours sont agréables et plein de vie , et il est très bien placé en prix . l'essayer c'est l'adopter !

Daphny is fantastic. Skilled, an adaptive teacher and incredibly helpful, able to spot trouble areas and teach to them while helping me to practice fluid discussions. I really look forward to my classes with him and I'd recommend him to anyone who is trying to learn spoken French. Phenomenal.

Very good lesson! I really appreciate how Daphny was able to tailor the lesson to what I needed. Our first lesson was now focused on survival phrases, while our second was more focused on speaking and listening, which was really helpful. Daphny was excellent at keeping things to my level, so that it was a challenge but but overwhelming. I especially appreciate how kind Daphny is - French is way different from any language I've learned before (and I have to learn on an accelerated timeline), but his upbeat attitude keeps the lesson fun and engaging for me (even when I'm struggling with how new everything is for me!) I would very much recommend him for someone who is new to the language.

I asked Daphny to help me translate some lines I'd written. We had a great time trying to get just the right tone and I learned a lot!
