Gustavo Lopes

Lessons with Gustavo have been a blast! He strikes a great balance between conversation, correction and explanation. I feel like I’m talking with a friend while also improving my Portuguese. My vocabulary has definitely improved. Classes are so fun, that I’m doing more and feel more confident.

Gustavo does a great job keeping up an interesting conversation and providing support when needed. The conversation is easy and natural, even with my occasional struggle to find the right words. With every conversation, I learn new words and a little more about life in Brazil.

El profesor fué amable y atento Peroooo, no recomiendo mucho para alguien que empieza de cero el Portugués. Me pareció muy descuidado que no preparara si clase: el material de trabajo estaba de ingles a Portugués, no de Español a Portugués y por último, la experiencia que me hizo no tomar otra clase con el: empecé la clase 20 minutos tarde, error mío, al finalizar la clase, me dijo amablemente que me iba a reponer ese tiempo perdió en una hora (acabando la siguiente clase programada) y con el material traducido al español, me pareció un gesto muy amable. A pesar de que tenía otro compromiso, no quería dejar el gesto y lo pospuse. Pasó la hora y el profesor nunca sé conectó y tampoco contestó mis mensajes.

A great lesson with Gustavo! He was extremely patient throughout the lesson and was also very supportive, positive, & encouraging. Gustavo also has a great sense of humour and a relaxed demeanour which helps his students feel relaxed. Highly recommend giving Gustavo a try!

What a great class I had today with Gustavo! He is always very attentive, breaks down concepts when necessary, provides examples and keeps a good back/forth flow of conversation going throughout the class. Great conversation class with a natural feeling!
