Manuel - 顾孟

Manuel is a great teacher. He is patient and good natured and flexible. Our lessons have structure but he is always willing to follow interesting topics that aren't on the plan when they arise. He is also very good at making me speak - encouraging me to construct sentences and questions with the Spanish I have so far and then using that to introduce new words and grammar. I recommend him very highly.

I am so thankful for the flexibility of class with Manuel! At times we just chat and he allows me to practice Spanish and gives me much needed correction. Other times I come with a variety of vocabulary or grammar questions and he patiently listens, responds and gives examples. Manuel's classes are professional, productive, engaging and enjoyable! Thanks Manuel! :)

My second lesson with Manuel was both valuable and enjoyable. We shared stories and opinions, which felt especially exciting given it was only my second lesson. I really appreciated his effort to explain things to me in Spanish using gestures and simple words—it worked really well!

Manuel asked about my needs in advance and accommodated them perfectly in our first lesson. He spoke clearly and created a space where I built confident in speaking about topics that I find interesting, while also being challenged. Manuel is a patient, knowledgeable, and engaging teacher. I'm already looking forward to our next lesson!
