Hi, my name is Barok. I live in Indonesia. I'm 25 years old. I speak French, English and Indonesian. As a language enthusiast, I have learnt at least five other languages; German, Arabic, Japanese, Spanish and Hebrew. In my spare time I like going to the pool, doing exercices and go cycling in the nature.Öğretmen Olarak Ben
In 2018 I started teaching French when I was a student of French Literature. I got my bachelor degree in 2020 and now I work for a French language center as a teacher. Normally I teach to adults and teenagers, but I have also experiences in teaching kids. At the beginning I used to to teach in person. I went to meet my students in university or in their house. Now since more than one year I give lessons online.
I'm aware that retaining knowledge needs repetition. Thus with me you may record our lessons. I will also send some screenshots of what we have learnt before if necessary.Derslerim ve öğretme tarzım
In my lessons, I rely on objectives set by CECRL which is a framework for languages used in Europe. Relying on this I can identify my student's level and therefore give adequate ressources and activities.
I always try to use French as much as possible in my class. To explain new words, I use gestures, explain with easy terms or show images. However I can do the translation method if my method is too difficult for you.
My teaching method is interactive. I'm here to help you express yourself, so we both speak in interaction. My lessons are characterized by discussions, role plays, games and practical exercices.Öğretim materyallerim

I’ve just completed 25 basic French lessons with Monsieur Barok, starting from scratch. He is highly professional and patient, especially when I keep repeating my mistakes. Since I often come to class tired from school and work, I truly appreciate his understanding and support.
At the end of each lesson, he provides a summary of my progress and areas for improvement, which I find very helpful. I also enjoy our casual chats before the lesson begins—they help me feel more comfortable and allow us to get to know each other better.
Since starting my lessons in the last week of January, I’ve improved significantly. I can now read French texts, though my listening skills are still a weak point, so I’m focusing on that. I look forward to continuing my lessons and making even more progress!

Barok is the best teacher for French on all of Italki. He allows me a lot of time to speak, listens with genuine interest, and responds in a way that allows me to correct and upgrade my language effectively. He makes notes and provides feedback at the end of every lesson. The best thing that can be said for a teacher is that they hold themselves to high standards, and I can definitely say this about Barok. I consider any class I've taken with any other French teacher on Italki a waste of money when considering the experience I get with Barok.
