Originally from a small town in the UK, where, unfortunately, it always rains, I moved abroad seeking sunshine and adventure. This journey sparked my passion for languages. For me, learning a language is expansive, opening doors to new cultures, ideas, and connections. I speak Spanish, and I find real joy in being able to connect with people I never would have met without learning their language.
As both a teacher and a language learner myself, I understand how challenging (and rewarding) learning a language can be. I hold a Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language, a Bachelor's in Psychology, and have 11+ years of experience teaching students of diverse nationalities and levels.
My goal is effective learning. I believe language learning should be an enjoyable and motivating journey, not a chore. Every learner is unique, with their own goals, style, and preferences, so I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We learn best by doing. My classes are conversation-focused but follow a clear and structured approach. I explain concepts in a simple, easy-to-understand way and then guide you through targeted practice so you can apply what you’ve learned with confidence.

My first class with Sophie went very smoothly. She was friendly, patient, and made me feel comfortable right from the beginning. I liked her clear explanations and the way she guided the conversation so it was easy to speak. We talked about different topics in a natural way, and she corrected my mistakes gently, which helped a lot.
Sophie also used some simple materials during the class to check my level and asked about my learning goals. She explained how we can continue with a structured plan in the next lessons. I’m really satisfied and looking forward to learning more with her!
