I've lived in the UK all my adult life and have been married to a British man, who's also an English teacher, for 13 years. I first taught in Italy, in 2012, and discovered a vocation for teaching as well as the best coffee and pizza in the world. I enjoy getting to know my students and helping them improve their English at the same time. I'm patient and understanding, and appreciate how effortful an hour of English can be. I also know that speaking a foreign language can be scary, so I do my best to make students feel comfortable and provide a space for them to gain confidence and even come to enjoy English. My lessons are quite structured in that all the mistakes a student makes are typed so we can correct them together. The lesson notes can be studied between class and the corrected forms used in the next lesson. Ideally, I like students to read an article, listen to a podcast or watch a video before our lesson so our conversation can be about challenging topics as well as the everyday; but I'm also happy just to chat and teach the language points that come up naturally.Öğretim materyallerim

The lessons were engaging and supportive, with plenty of interaction. The teacher Katie used a variety of materials. The classroom atmosphere was friendly and discussion based. I learned a lot and became more confident. I highly recommend Katie!
