Licensed Professional English Teacher from #1 University in PH I am a Magna cum laude graduate of Education Major in Communication Arts-English from the University of the Philippines Diliman, the number 1 university in the Philippines. 👩‍🏫 Experienced teaching English to Filipino and foreign learners – kids, teens, and adults 👩‍🏫 Passionate about history, culture, language, philosophy, and literature (but I'm not an expert on these, alright? Haha! I just find them interesting.) 👩‍🏫 I enjoy reading books and journaling. YOU ARE CAPABLE OF ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS. ✔️ I am patient, friendly, and understanding ✔️ I am an introvert so I understand if you feel nervous or shy ✔️ My classroom is always a safe space for you to learn and be yourself. ✔️ student-centered as I believe that the learner's input (culture, ideas, personality, background knowledge) are integral parts of his/her learning progress. ✔️ based on the student's needs and areas for improvement so that learning is always relevant and intentional. ✔️I am educated on teaching both basic English skills such as Phonics, Grammar, Spelling, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, and higher-level ones such as Conversational English and Public Speaking. ✔️ There will be a significant amount of student talking time (STT) to allow the students to practice using the language. 80% STT and 20% teacher talking time.

My daughter really enjoyed the class. Teacher Mika is so thoughtful and friendly. She also kept encouraging my daughter, so she was able to muster her courage up and talk to her. It was a really good class. :)
