Greetings italki students! My name is Jimmy and I was born and raised in sunny Southern California. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in History, I worked as a Conflicts Analyst for a few years before deciding to expand my horizons by moving abroad. Since then, I have lived and worked as an English teacher in Costa Rica, China, and Japan. I have also worked in student travel all across the United States, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

Öğretmen Olarak Ben

After receiving my Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate, I have taught English to students of all levels in classrooms all over the world. In Costa Rica, I worked with high school students at a bilingual school; in China, I helped adults improve their use of business English; and in Japan, I taught conversational English to university students. I also have a lot of experience teaching English one-on-one to students in online classes.

I am currently offering two type of English lessons. If you are hoping to improve your listening and speaking skills in order to have better conversations with native English speakers, please select my 'Conversation Practice' lesson. However, if you want to improve all aspects of your English in a structured environment (complete with slides, activities, and homework assignments), please select my 'General' lesson. You can click on either lesson below for more information!
