Zoraida Tarazona

Thanks Zoraida for this well-prepared and useful class. I've been attending to classes from Zoraida for more than a year now and every class is a great combination of social talk, interesting topics and practicing specific concepts and grammar. A class is never boring and I'm looking forward to every class. Although she is a community tutor she works like a professional teacher and she's able to create tailored classes to improve your language skills.

I asked Zoraida last week if we could practice with the prepositions that accompany verbs (a, de, con, por, para, etc.). It is always a challenge for me to remember which prepositions go with which verbs because some match the English preposition and others are quite different (for example, tropezar con). I wanted repetition so that I could commit them to memory and choose the correct one automatically when speaking. Zoraida designed a personalized class presenting the verbs grouped by preposition and then we practiced using different conversational scenarios and telling stories incorporating the verb and correct preposition. The activities were very useful and well-designed. I look forward to continuing the practice next class.

Todas las clases de Zoraida son bien preparadas con teoría y práctica, juegos para practicar la teoría. Ella puede preparar clases de cualquier tema con una diligencia incansable. Ayer hemos analizado dos capítulos de Don Quijote, hemos hablado sobre la actualidad política en el mundo y practicado el uso de la proposición “por”. Una clase muy interesante y divertida. Hasta la próxima clase.

I enjoyed my first class with Zoraida. She was easy to talk to, prepared, and provided clear directions throughout the lesson. I highly recommend her to others!

I have been meeting with Zoraida for many months, and I have seen my Spanish grow tremendously. Having met with many different italki teachers before, and having been disappointed with their lessons, it is refreshing to work with Zoraida. Her classes are active, conversation based, and she will have you talking within her lessons. Her feedback is kind, supportive, constructive.
