Certified TEFL and Afrikaans teacher for over two decades. I am very motivated to get started and would like to show that I can add value to your life. I have experience working online with learners and have my TEFL certificate. I have experience working in mainstream and in special needs. I also studied childhood psychology. I would describe myself as someone who is a well rounded person. I would like to put these characteristics to use.

Learning a new language is like learning how to walk – you take it one step at a time. I scaffold my lessons which makes it easier to accommodate beginner and intermediate students. In a very relaxing and informal environment, I will walk this journey with you to develop your linguistic skills. I am experienced in teaching students of various ages through a fun-filled atmosphere. Public speaking is another area where I do have experience and would love to share it with you. I make use of props, flashcards and colors to give meaningful lessons.

Ek bring graag temas tot lewe deur speletjies, uitdagings en ander aktiwiteite wat leerders betrek en motiveer. My klasse is 'n plek waar julle nie net kennis opdoen nie, maar ook geniet terwyl julle leer. Ek streef daarna om 'n omgewing te skep waar leerders met entoesiasme deelneem en selfs die moeilikste konsepte geniet. I am a Afrikaans Teacher and a active listener with a lot of patience. My approach to teaching will be to guide you step by step if situations arise in the conversation. My belief is to teach practically, by using physical things to explain new grammar. Every person is unique in their way, and that is why everyone needs to be taught practically. Some students are quick learners and others slow. My focus will be to teach my students a new Afrikaans word every time just before they say goodbye, hopefully, he/she will remember it.
