I have many years of experience in teaching. In my classes, I exclusively use materials in Macedonian, Serbian, Croatian and Bulgarian, as well as own personal materials. It is also worth mentioning that I am a strong supporter of the modern communicative approach.

I have an MA degree in Applied linguistics - English and Japanese and I have been a teacher for more than 19 years teaching English, Japanese and my native languages - Bulgarian and Russian. I have also specialised in the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.

Más de 18 años de experiencia I never thought that teaching could be the right job for me, but - here I am - eighteen years and around a thousand of students later. At some point, I realised that teaching had become a passion. My professional experience before italki was focused mainly on exam preparation both in English (e.g. Cambridge, Trinity) and German (Goethe Institut, telc) and included - apart from the usual group and individual, intensive and regular courses - level-testing and organising mock exams. For several years, I also worked as an English examiner and corrector at one of the universities in Spain. I hold a C2 Certificate in Spanish (DELE).

I am focusing on developing speaking and enriching students vocabulary. I'll help you reach fluidity in speaking and will help you improve your weaknesses with the language. I'm calm and supportive, willing to enrich learners horizons with language and culture information.

As a PhD student in Bulgarian literature, I am interested in Bulgarian literature and cinema from the period of Socialism (1944-1989) and I believe that these topics would help my students not only in learning the language itself, but also in getting to know Bulgaria, its history and culture.
