I'm a native Bulgarian speaker, proficient in English and French. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Scandinavian studies with a minor in Dutch, and I have a conversational level in Spanish and Russian. My other interests include traveling, culture, fitness, nutrition, history, geography, and geopolitics. Oh, and I love Eurovision! And I have a cute cat.

PhD in Applied Linguistics; +15 years of language teaching experience at university level I have been teaching German and Italian for over 15 years at a prestigious Canadian University as well as at a local language school. I have experience teaching all levels and age groups, both in-person and online.

Graduated as foreign languages teacher and Spanish philologist / Master's degree in translation I follow a structured teaching methodology while allowing flexibility to adapt to each student’s needs and level. As a teacher, I am kind, cheerful, and have the gift of patience and positivity. My priority is to create a motivating and enjoyable learning environment, while also challenging my students. I set high standards because I believe in their potential and keep them fully engaged in class.

I am very animated and in my classes I seldom use another language, as students use their native language as a cane which they never let go. Students need to be fully engaged in the new language, switch their thinking even, in order to achieve the best. I've been a teacher for the past 10 years - in schools, kindergartens, online, private tutoring. I learn every day from every student how to be a better teacher, I treasure those moments together!
