Though only on an informal basis, I have always enjoyed teaching others since I know clearly what it is like to be on the other end as a student and aim to make students as comfortable as possible. I help motivate students to achieve success by concentrating on the goals that they have set for themselves. I keep teaching balanced by focusing on accurate pronunciation, correct grammar, and even additional areas such as language register (spoken vs. written language, slang, etc.).

I'm a conversational teacher with a strong emphasis on dialogue. I'm patient and I have a strong sense for when I should take the wheel and help you, and when I should let the student struggle a bit to get through their personal walls. I'm internally passionate and very interested, but externally calm.

I'm a qualified teacher in primary school and currently working as a Icelandic teacher. I love teaching to children but I also enjoy teaching to adults who has great interest in languages. Since I'm not native Icelandic speaker, I know how hard to learn Icelandic as second language. I also studied Icelandic from zero knowledge like all of you! Therefore I'm able to give practical advice regarding how to study Icelandic as a second/ third language.

I have nearly ten years of experience teaching languages in classrooms and one‑to‑one settings: I began with English, French, and German at local language schools and through private tutoring, and now specialize in Icelandic. My approach is comparative and goal‑oriented—I link new concepts to the languages you already know, set clear objectives for each lesson, and use authentic texts and conversation to build practical skills step by step.
