Japanese question If I said "Yana otenki desune" would this mean "It is bad weather isn't it?" I learn a lot of Japanese by listening to audio lessons but when I look up the word "Yana" it doesn't come up as "bad or unpleasant" like the lessons teach Perhaps I am hearing the word wrong.Could it be "iyana"? I want to write the correct word in my notes

>Could it be "iyana"?  - Yes, it is. So, "iyana otenki desune" is correct. "yana" is "iyana". We often say "iyana" without " i ". For example(negative words); "yanakanji(iyana kanji)", "yanahito(iyana hito)", "ya~ne~(iyane~)", "yada!(iyada!)" etc.

"yana"="iyana" But "yana" is not correct Japanese. It's just the sporken word.
