Hi there! I'm Lotte. I am originally from Germany but have lived in many different countries in the last few years in order to learn more about our beautiful planet and its inhabitants.
I lived, worked and studied in Australia for 2.5 years after finishing my studies in Germany and there I learned a lot about the English language and a different lifestyle with loads of opportunities.
Then I relocated to Vietnam to pursue my career as English teacher and enjoy the beautiful beaches, nature and underwater world.
Before moving to Cyprus to work as a primary teacher, I lived in Sri Lanka and worked in a dive shop, as diving is another passion of mine.教学经验
I was always immensely interested in the English language and finally started teaching as my main profession after finishing my Bachelor's degree and studying Teaching as a Second Language in Australia. I taught at several English centers to a variety of students ranging from kindergarten level (2-5 years) to adults and varying levels (beginners, advanced and everything in between) and I am currently teaching at a primary school in Cyprus.
I enjoy teaching because it gives me the chance to convey my passion for this great language to other people. I love communicating, challenging and supporting my students to give them the tools to communicate in our modern, globalized world.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
I like teaching my students in an interactive and communicative way that focuses especially on spoken communication.
I love challenging activities and games that encourage the student to learn more about a language in a playful way and choose current and relevant topics for my courses (Environment, Technology, Extreme Sports, Food & Religion, Going to the Movies, Job interviews, Your health..., just to name a few).
Depending on the student's individual needs I can provide a range of materials and props such as PowerPoint slides, work sheets...

Certificate IV in Communicative TESOL - Australian Pacific College Brisbane - 2019During my 2.5 years in Australia, I took a 6 month course at the Australian Pacific College in Brisbane. Here I also completed a placement (practicum) of 12 hours that consisted of observations, planning and teaching classes.

- Planning class trips and outdoor activities that involved a range of different locations (beaches, bookstores etc)
- Teaching and revising in a interesting and communicative way
- Devising tests and evaluating the progress of my students

English TutorDuring my TESOL studies I decided to take on two English tutor students from Brazil for individual lessons. This included:
-Planning, preparing and delivering lessons
-Preparing teaching materials
-Helping pupils improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through individual sessions

Volunteer English TeacherI took up a teacher position in an Indian residential school, where I was teaching English to children from the age of 5 to 16. My role included:

- Improving the students’ skills to understand, speak, read and write in English

English TeacherDuring my last year, I have worked as an English teacher at a German secondary vocational school and gained a lot of experience in class room management and the preparation of lessons according to the German curriculum.
I enjoyed teaching my favourite language in my home country and discovered new ways of how to make any topic more interesting to the students. I also encouraged them to use this world language in the classroom and hopefully also in their every day life.

I have been working as a primary teacher at an inclusive school and I have started my PGCE which I am currently completing while teaching a Year 3 class full time. Lotte ist eine fantastische Englischlehrerin für Kinder. Sie nimmt sich Zeit für Wiederholungen und Lernspiele und trotzdem geht das Tempo zügig voran und jedes Mal wird was Neues gelernt. Was mein Sohn (7) bei ihr in Monaten lernt, würde in der Schule Jahre dauern (und da wir in ein paar Jahren auswandern wollen haben wir so viel Zeit nicht). Trotzdem macht es ihm wahnsinnigen Spaß und er freut sich jedes Mal auf den Unterricht.

I like Lotte's teaching style very much. She will prepare pictures, articles and Q & A etc. to stimulate your enthusiasm for speaking English. Secondly, she is extremely patient. Lotte ist sehr geduldig und lernt emphatisch mit ihren Schülern :) Sie ist gut gelaunt & vorbereitet. Ich habe bei ihr in der Stunde sehr viel Grammatik gelernt, habe mich aber nicht überfordert gefühlt, da sie alles simpel erklärt hat.
Empfehlenswerte, Kompetente Lehrkraft, bei der das lernen Spaß macht :)
