I felt really comfortable talking with Violet, and even though I still have my 我不知道 moments, she explains or repeats herself well so we can move on gracefully. Coming out of a time when I haven't been feeling really confident speaking/using Chinese, I feel like Violet is the perfect fit right for me now. :)

Since I haven't actively studied as much as of late, I was a bit nervous in getting back into Chinese, but Violet made me feel really comfortable and encouraged me to speak. Overall, a nice first lesson. I hope to continue. :)

Very Good..

A very good first lesson with Violet. She took the time to give very detailed feedback as well.

Violet was very encouraging and supported my learning. She was very patient and taught me a lot of new words that I didn't already know. She helped me find new books I could read for the HSK and was very knowledgeable about what level HSK I could do. Unfortunately, she didn't allow recording but I felt I didn't need it as she typed all the new vocabulary I didn't know through the italki chat. Violet knows a lot about the Chinese language and its culture. She also knows the cultural differences between different parts of China and Taiwan. She was very punctual as well. Lessons started on time. There was no technical difficulties and her internet connection was great so there was no stuttering in the video. All in all, Violet is a great teacher and I hope to work with her more in the future.
