Important Notice: I work full-time as a Research Analyst and will only be teaching on Saturdays Hi Students! My name is Adrienne and I come from sunny South Africa. I live in Cape Town and teach English on italki. My hobbies are reading, photography and going for evening runs in nature. South Africa has many mountains and beautiful scenery, which allows for long hikes with stunning views. I also enjoy cooking and baking for my friends and family. I love meeting and interacting with people from different cultures and backgrounds, as this broadens my general knowledge and understanding of the world. No matter where you are from or what your level of English is, I look forward to teaching you!

我的教學經歷

I have completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities, with a Major in English Studies. This has equipped me with sufficient knowledge on how to teach students of all ages and all levels, from beginners to advanced. It has also taught me how to successfully conduct lessons, how to utilize suitable class matrials and how to give appropriate homework assignments. I have also attained a TEFL certificate, which has provided me with further knowledge on how to successfully interact with and keep students engaged in the lesson. Lastly, I have two years of experience in teaching students English online, which has taught me how to ensure that all students' needs are always met.

My classes are conducted in a friendly and inclusive environment. All students are welcome, from young ages to adults, as well as from beginners to advanced students. Mistakes are always welcome in the classroom, as mistakes enable students to learn. In my classes, all students should feel comfortable to interact and engage with the lesson material. Before the lesson, students are asked which topics they would like to cover. My lessons are structured around the student's particular needs. I also hand out homework, which is corrected in the following lesson. In our class, we will focus on conversational English. This will include grammar, pronunciation, articulation and sentence structure.

Adrienne is a great teacher. She knows well how to teach by explaining and giving examples that are easy to understand and in details. Also she takes time and you don’t feel rushed. I recommend her :)
