Patient, supportive, and detail-oriented is how my students describe me. I’m Zohar, a native English speaker from Montreal, Canada with 10+ years teaching expertise at home, in Asia, and online.
Fluency, comprehension, pronunciation, and scaffolding are my specialties. I work with learners of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds, and I am honored to be part of my students' progress and success.
Exploring ideas, places, and people inspires me. From skiing in Western Canada to playing Frisbee in Taiwan, from Argentinian philosophers to 19th century French novelists; I love discovering new worlds, and I am so excited for you to introduce me to yours.我的教學經歷
TEFL certified with an additional TESOL and TEFL specialized in online teaching techniques. It has been my privilege to empower 1000s of students with the confidence to express themselves in English.
As a psychology major with an international master’s degree in communication, I know how to connect with my students and build the trusting rapport required for successful language acquisition.
Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is a method that prioritizes how well other people understand you, and Total Physical Response (TPR) involves pairing gestures with speech to increase retention and reduce stress. Language acquisition works best in a fun, relaxed, and natural environment, which is why my lessons are casual and conversation-based. We discuss you, current events, popular culture, and material tailored to your goals and interests. Instruction and feedback are seamlessly integrated into our conversation in a friendly and support fashion. I always scaffold and adapt to your needs.
I utilize role-playing games to prepare you for real-life situations like dining in restaurants, shopping, traveling, interviews, administrative tasks, and everything else you do. We also develop reading and listening comprehension skills and techniques by analyzing selected texts together.我的教材

I really enjoyed conversational classes with Zohar. He helped me to prepare for the online interview with one of the well-known speakers in nutrition. We revised the grammar structures and vocabulary without any boring books and exercises.
Zohar is a very supportive and attentive teacher. I highly recommend him if you want to take your English to another level without stress, anxiety, and headache. :)
