Luddey

I've been taking classes on italki for several years and have had many teachers, none as good as Luddey. She's an intelligent, professional, and well-organized teacher who's always on time for class. She's incredibly well-informed and can speak on various topics, so our conversations are always interesting and informative. Her classes feel relaxed and fun, yet she doesn't let errors go unnoticed. I feel more confident speaking, and Luddey has encouraged me to focus more on specific aspects of the language, like vocabulary. I feel like my ability to talk about a broader range of topics has expanded since I started taking classes with her, and I look forward to continuing.

Estoy extremadamente agradecida por todos los materials que preparó para ayudarme y por todo su ayudo. Luddey is an excellent Spanish instructor and a joy to work with! Her approach of practicing through informal conversations and then reviewing new vocabulary, grammatical corrections, and examples is very effective. She is a clear communicator, patient, and passionate about teaching. In addition, she creates a comfortable learning space that invites questions to enrich comprehension. I highly recommend Luddey as a teacher!

Another wonderful class today. In our lessons we have discussions on a variety of topics: cultural, health, technology, etc and today we also reviewed books we had read. Luddey provides such a welcoming learning environment that I feel comfortable expressing my ideas and trying new vocabulary even as I know (or find out:) that I am making mistakes. I appreciate our review at the end of the lesson as Luddey helps me with my pronunciation and explains my errors. I am looking forward to our next class.

Luddey's manner of teaching is extremely effective. She's personable, knowledgeable and takes the time to prepare useful resources for each class. She notes errors during classes and shows them intermittently during class, and at the end of class. As we progressed beyond formal materials (she provided) on grammar and sentence structure, she has had me send links to articles I've read in Spanish so she can read them and discuss the subject matter in class. This way we're discussing subjects of interest to me and therefore, I'm expanding my vocab with words I'm more likely to use.
