Language is a wonderful thing it allows us to share our thoughts, our ideas, and our passions with other people. I feel very lucky to have English as my native language because it is so widely spoken and understood that it is considered to be the official language of business, science, medicine, travel, and education all over the world.
Why are you here? My students tell me that speaking with fluency and confidence is their goal. They want to increase your vocabulary, reduce their accent, and learn to use better grammar but speaking freely, with fluency and confidence is their goal and probably yours. If you work at it you will become a fluent confident speaker of English I guarantee it.我的教材

Teacher of English for Special PurposeSenior teacher in the English Dept. teaching English to students in the Officer and Engineering Departments of this college. I learned to encourage students to have confidence in speaking English, to open their mouths and speak up. This was the greatest cultural barrier to their English fluency and I was very proud that with humour and energy I was able to help them. I think this lack of confidence is a universal problem that will be common with italki students as well.

Through this position, I learned to use the audio and video systems and also learned the difficulties that Spanish and Portuguese speakers have in learning English. I think that cultural awareness and first language interference awareness is very important.

It was a pleasure to speak with Gerrit today. He is being patient and friendly with me and thus allowing me to speak a lot, under pressure. He paces the lesson well, especially since English is a difficult language for Korean speakers. Thank you for your understanding today!
