I tried to follow the answers to a question about را today.

The topic is so important and interesting that I tried to read the Fingilish in both the original post and the answers. The effort exhausted me as I got nowhere.
I know that for various reasons even native speakers might have resort to Fingilish. But chances are that some, if not most, of the people responding to that post could effortlessly have typed in Fingilish for the original poster in addition to Farsi. I feel excluded. Part of it is my nature. I don't like to miss any opportunity.
Persian is phonetical, but the words also have shape. As my reading improves, I recognize familiar words by sight, as would anyone learning to read a new language regardless of whether it is phonetical or not.
If possible, and if it doesn't take much time, please include Persian script when replying to Fingilish posts. ....'ra' را. That is not so hard, is it? Or do I really have to learn Fingilish in addition to Farsi even at a beginning level???
After all, I could start writing English this way:
두 유 리크 잇 웬 아이 라이트 잉그리씨 리아크 디스?
یس یت گود؟
The last three lines were my feeble attempt at humor. The favor I ask IS important.
I can list and logically explain many, many reasons why it is not good for a beginning language learner to learn the Romanization of Farsi (as well as other languages). I am also prepared to talk about the larger more important consequences of the Romanization of languages. But, before I do that, I would really like to hear reasoning as to why it is a good idea for a beginner to learn Fingilish.
I hope to hear many different viewpoints. Please let's be objective and honest. And above all, have a serious discourse.

Thank you, Achille for the website. I tried to copy and paste the Finglish messages from the other thread but couldn't figure out how to do it. A friend gave me another website where it is easy to copy and paste Finglish (http://www.behnevis.com/) but the transliteration is not accurate. :(
So.. I typed all of the Finglish myself into the Google transliterator:
khandan va neveshtan ra koja yad gereftid?=koja khandan va neveshtan yad gereftid?
خاندان و نوشتن را کجا یاد گرفتید؟ = کجا خاندان و نوشتن یاد گرفتید؟
ali sib khord. ali sibo khord
علی سیب خورد علی صبو خورد

Looking at the Farsi for only a moment could make the point of را much clearer to me.
sib... apple
سیب ... apple
As soon as I saw سیب I not only automatically visualized the image of an apple red and juicy.. I could almost smell it!!
Sib.. It had no such meaning for me.. even AFTER I realized that it stands for سیب
This is only one example, I know most of the words in the sentences above...in PERSIAN (not Finglish).

Although I fully agree with everything you said, I still think it is a good idea to learn how to read and write Fingilish, especially at a beginning level! As a matter of fact, it is interesting that you find it difficult, as after all, it is supposed to be quite intuitive rather than a strict set of rules to lean.
