This is how I see it. Probably I'm wrong, but I've tried to translate it literally and sound natural at the same time. By the way, I usually do the same with spanish songs. To be able to translate them makes my feel more secure about my command of the language.

Discrepo contigo Camilo. Uno de mis amigos debe la mayor parte de su inglés a la traducción y escucha de canciones en inglés desde que era adolescente. De hecho hizo este año el First Certificate tras prepararlo durante unos meses en una academia y obtuvo buena nota (especialmente en la parte de listening). Y a Tony comentarle que uno de los grupos musicales favoritos de mi amigo y mío es precisamente "The Sisters of Mercy", una banda de afterpunk de Leeds, que basa su nombre en la susodicha canción de Leonard Cohen.
