Could someone please explain why the sentence “It doesn’t sound correct nor funny.” grammatically correct?
English Dictionaries say that when you use “nor” after a negative clause, you need to invert the subject and the verb after “nor”.
So, I think the sentence has to be “it doesn’t sound correct nor does it sound funny.” (Or, “It sounds neither correct nor funny.”)
But, some people say “It doesn’t sound correct nor funny.” is also grammatically correct, and I can’t understand why.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me.
