During this lesson we can work on any aspect of English, whether you want to improve your speaking, listening, reading, or writing. Materials can be provided, and if you study with me long term then a study plan can be created.

These sessions are for you if you want to get better at SPEAKING English. It is designed to make time fly by focusing entirely on topics that matter to you, your life, and your interests. Think of them as digital cafe hangouts, minus the background chatter and overpriced lattes!

General Conversation Practice for Adults

These lessons are designed to be dynamic, immersive, and centered entirely around you!
I prioritize a production-focused approach, ensuring that you spend the majority of the session actively using the language. To create this true immersion experience, I aim to keep our communication 100% in English, pushing you to THINK and react in English. However, I understand that sometimes the right words can be elusive, especially at higher levels of complexity. Because I am proficient in both French and Arabic, I can easily understand your thoughts if you need to bridge a gap using those languages.

Lesson structure:
1) Warm up discussion: Relaxed chat about daily life, work, activities and anything else that may interest you. This will help build your confidence and improve your fluency.

2) Vocab & grammar introduction: Depending on what your focus is, we can introduce some new vocabulary, expressions, grammar and spend some time learning new words or concepts. 

3) Reading & Speaking: A topic article will be prepared which we can read together. This will include examples of new vocab or grammar. We can have a general discussion about the article and start to put new vocab and concepts into practice. 

4) Practice & Activities: You will implement what you have learned in the lesson through a series of activities such as role-plays, discussions and debates, writing prompts and storytelling. This will give you a chance to embed further new words and grammar. 

5) Handout & homework: I provide a student handout for all my classes with all new material from the lesson. This handout will include homework exercises to further practice class material which we can review in the next lesson.

Lessons are tailored to students' interests and/or needs. In our trial lesson, you'll help me to understand your likes/dislikes and I'll get a sense of the linguistic areas that are in need of some practice. 

As for materials, I have my own from my years of teaching along with anything I can find of interest online.
