As for me, nature is the best palce to relax. With fresh air and beautiful sceneries around, all the bad mood and tired feeling will disappear in a second. This reminds me of our ancestors who came out of the mountains and forests, followed their dreams to build cities and develop civilization ,but finally wouldn't made them to be as happy as they preconceived. The city life usually gives me a feeling that I am just like a passer-by here, my root is not here, there is a calling always sounding in my mind which makes me really want to go outside and enjoy the nature. Sometimes I really don't understand the purpose of developing technology, and what the technology can bring us? It feels like that we have lost something that is most important to us and try our best to pursue something that are not that important. That's why the people live in this era have been becoming confused and frustrated more. Only spending a little time in nature can give us a short period with peace. then we are forced to go back to city and be as busy as a bee.

Japanese People and Cats(3) The reasons for the preference for cats in Japan are as follows. The first cause is aging. As of 2022, Japan has 20 million seniors aged 75 and over, comprising 15% of the population. There are 12 million people over the age of 80, which is 10 percent. To keep a dog, one have to take it out for a walk every day, and as people get older, they feel more physically strained. On the other hand, cats don't really like to walk. They are also smaller than dogs, making them easier to care for. Choosing cats as pets is a global phenomenon, not only in Japan but also around the world, as the elderly population increases. However, in the case of Japan, the proportion of cats has increased remarkably due to the rapid advance in the aging of the population. Second, the spread of single-person households is one cause. The percentage of single-person households in Japan increased from 32 percent in 2010 to 38 percent in 2020. The number of single-person households is still increasing. For single-person householders who have to go to work and take care of their pets, it is much easier to raise cats than dogs. Cats hide their waste (defecation) well without any training and don't mess up the house. Cats also feel much less separation anxiety than dogs. So one can feel safe even if they leave his cat alone and go to work.

Visiting an important cultural property Inspired by a book written by Yataro Matsuura, I had a go at visiting one of the important cultural properties in Japan (Kyu-Iwasakitei, Gardens.) This property consists of three buildings and the vast gardens. The western residence and the billiard room were designed by a British architect, Josiah Condor, who educated Western-style architecture in Japan. Also, there is the Japanese-style building annexed to the Western residence. Here is a quick rundown of what makes this site exceptional; ・British Minton tiles used on the first-floor veranda are splendid. ・There are vast gardens, which are outstanding. ・Women’s guest rooms decorated with Islamic motifs are gorgeous, they look really pretty. It’s almost hard to believe that it was built over one hundred years ago. ・The guest room on the second floor decorated with valuable Japanese leather paper (Kin-kara-kawashi) is absolutely stunning. ・In a sunroom, there are bay windows looking out of the beautiful garden, it's very nice to soak up the sun. The room is filled with a copious amount of sunshine poured into it. It's perfect for a peaceful weekend gateway in Tokyo.
