This conversational lesson is going to be very dynamic and packed with speaking activities. We tend to have a lot of breakout rooms so students can have several one-to-one conversations with other students. We're going to talk about making excuses and situations where this might be relevant. We'll also role-play situations where an excuse is appropriate.

-learn to describe situations that might require an excuse
-learn vocabulary related to everyday problems/complications
-learn to speak about difficult situations and the right action to take
-learn to make excuses
-learn to respond to excuses
-practice the past continuous and the past simple to describe past situations/actions
-share personal experiences that required an excuse (our experience or someone else's experience)
