This is an Advanced level class (B2 or higher) for those who wish to expand their vocabulary, practice their intonation, listen and respond well to others, learn helpful tips and use functional language to reach fluency in English. This group class begins with an introduction, then we will watch a five-minute video, and then we will discuss the content. Most importantly, we will have fun learning, because the teacher is friendly and can work as a good moderator.

Students will learn about solar storms and related specific vocabulary; will receive feedback for their speaking; will practice responding to others; will learn more about functional language and transition language, and have fun in the process.

Professional teacher with a Doctorate in Education & 25 years of teaching experience.
Italki 2022 Statistics: Shellwyn earned the title "Masterful Mentor"; her students come from 29 countries; and she taught for 31,920 minutes this year, landing her in the top 1% of all Italki teachers. For Shellwyn, teaching is a vocation--helping others learn and grow is an extremely satisfying profession! She has taught learners of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, in both public and private schools. Shellwyn earned her Doctorate in Education in 2009. She began teaching English professionally in 2012 (soon after she moved to Brazil) and earned a post-doctorate in Applied Linguistics in 2014. She also partners with universities on various educational projects.
