Following this year’s Super Bowl hosted by the city of New Orleans, my mom and I talk about our memories of traveling there, touching on a number of aspects of the city’s identity, especially food and music. We also discuss how the city has recovered from multiple natural disasters over the past few decades.

今天想和大家聊一聊【和蛋有关的有趣的词】。
首先是跟吃有关的“蛋”。我们最经常吃的是鸡蛋，煎蛋、水煮蛋、蒸蛋和茶叶蛋。还有一些家常菜，例如西红柿炒鸡蛋、韭菜炒蛋、蛋炒饭等等。我们也吃鸭蛋，一般是咸鸭蛋。做法是用盐腌制，可以配粥吃，也可以用来做菜。
你可能听过一些带有“蛋”的词，其实是形容人的。第一个，坏蛋，指很坏的人。例如：他是个大坏蛋，总是欺负人。第二个，笨蛋，指很笨的人。例如：你这个笨蛋，这么简单的题都不会做。第三个，倒霉蛋，指的是运气很不好的人。例如：他真是个倒霉蛋，每次去旅游都下大雨。
我们再来看看其他的词，“完蛋”。猜猜是什么意思？要是失去这个客户，我们公司就完蛋了。如果被老师发现, 我们就完蛋了。这里完蛋的意思是，be finished，be screwed。
还有一个词是“零蛋”。例如：这次考试，他考了个零蛋。意思是他考了0分，因为数字0很像一个蛋。有些家长为了吉利，会在孩子考试那天的早餐给孩子准备一根油条，两个鸡蛋，因为放在一起很像100分。
最后，Don't put all your eggs in one basket，你知道中文怎么说吗？“不要把所有的鸡蛋放在一个篮子里”，也可以说“不要孤注一掷。”

音読み　しつ
訓読み　うしなーう

意味は、うしなう、もれる、まちがえる、にげる、とかそんな感じです。

例えば、

・失望ーしつぼう　がっかりしたこと

・損失ーそんしつ　お金をうしなうこと、財産、利益など

・紛失ーふんしつ　ものをなくすこと

・失言ーしつげん　言ってはいけないことを言ってしまうこと

・失敗ーしっぱい　方法などがわるく、目標が達成できないこと


こんな感じですね。
これを使って例文を作っていきましょう！

・彼には本当に失望した。とても期待していたのに残念だ。

・株の運用で大きな損失を出してしまった。

・会社の鍵を紛失してしまった。

・この会議は大切な会議です、失言しないように気をつけてください。

・彼に任せたことが失敗だった。
