Mama:shì ma ？shì nán lǎoshī hái shì nǚ lǎoshī ya ？
妈妈：是吗？是 男老师 还是 女老师 呀？
Nánhái: shì nǚ lǎoshī ，tā xìng xià ，jiào xiǎo xuě 。
tā shuō wǒmen kěyǐ jiào tā ：xià lǎoshī 。
男孩：是 女 老师，她 姓 夏，叫 小雪。
她说 我们 可以 叫她：夏 老师。
Mama:ō~nǐmen jīntiān de zhōngwén kè xuéle 
shénme ？妈妈：噢~你们 今天的 中文课 学了 什么？
Nánhái: wǒmen xué le:nǐhǎo!xièxie hé zàijiàn,háiyǒu rúhé jièshào zìjǐ 。

Mama:Tóngxué de míngzì dōu jìzhù le ma ？
妈妈：同学的名字 都 记住了 吗？
Nánhái:  jìzhù le ！lǎoshī dài wǒmen yìqǐ wán yóuxì ，hěn róngyì jiù 
jìzhù le 。记住了！老师 带我们一起 玩游戏，很容易 就 记住了。
Mama:tīngshàngqù hěn yǒuqù ，nǐ xǐhuan shàng zhōngwén kè ma ？妈妈：听上去 很 有趣，你喜欢 上中文课 吗？
Nánhái: hěn xǐhuan ！wǒ xīwàng měitiān dōu yǒu zhōngwén kè ！

KEY WORDS：

📑Sentence structure: 要…了（yào…le.）indicate something is going to happen. 
eg:1）要结婚了👰🏻‍♀️yào jiéhūn le. 2）要下雨了yào xià yǔ le.(It's about to rain.)

Key words:  疼，téng ，painful

Words:
头疼 (tóu téng)🤦‍
牙疼 (yá téng) 🦷
肚子疼 (dùzi téng) 🥴
肚子 (dùzi ) → belly/ abdomen

Sentence structure:  我 _____ 疼 (wǒ _____ téng) 
我头疼 🤦‍(wǒ tóu téng) My head hurts

If you don’t want to go too detail ,you can say:
不舒服🙁 (bù shūfu),  uncomfortable

我有点不舒服。😟(Wǒ yǒu diǎn bù shūfu),., I'm uncomfortable
我今天有点不舒服。🥴(Wǒ jīntiān yǒu diǎn bù shūfu)  ,I’m a little under the weather today.( I’m uncomfortable today)

How to Greet Someone in English When Friends or Colleagues Are Unwell

(1）好好休息！❤️‍🩹(Hǎohǎo xiūxi), Get plenty of rest！

14.节日系列：情人节 Valentine's Day

今天的节目，想跟大家分享一个中国的传统节日：元宵节。
元宵节是在农历正月十五，也是春节的最后一天。在元宵节，我们的活动是去看花灯。全国每一个城市都会举办大型的花灯展览活动，如果你在上海，可以去上海豫园元宵灯会，如果你在四川省，可以去四川自贡市的自贡灯会，如果你在南京，可以去南京秦淮灯会，这些都是非常具有传统性和地方特色的灯会。在中国古代，我们除了看花灯，还会猜灯谜。当然在现代中国，还有一些城市保留着猜灯谜的活动。我会在这个节目的小测试环节给大家出几个灯谜。

当然，中国灯艺文化也存在着地域的差异。花灯是南方的标志，刚才说的上海，南京，自贡都是中国南方城市。如果你在中国的东北，一定要去看哈尔滨市的元宵节冰雕。

除了看灯会以外，元宵节还有一项习俗不能错过。那就是吃汤圆（南方吃汤圆，北方吃元宵，食物的做法不一样）。汤圆是由糯米粉揉成的圆圆的团子，象征着家庭圆满。汤圆的馅儿可以是甜的，比如芝麻，芋泥等，在我的家乡莆田，汤圆是咸的，我们会把肉末，香菇，花生放在一起，炒熟做成馅料，包出来的汤圆是普通汤圆的两倍，我们叫大汤圆。
有时候，我们做一颗特殊的汤圆，里面放入一枚消过毒的硬币。如果你吃到了这枚带着硬币的汤圆，那么它预示着你在新的一年里财运都会很好。

嗨大家好，我是Cara欢迎收听我的频道，今天跟大家讲一个关于中国“年”故事。

中国的新年可以追溯到几千年的历史，那么中国新年是怎么出现的呢？
在中国古代，有一只凶猛的野兽，它有着锋利的牙齿，巨大的爪子和恐怖的吼叫声。它吼叫的时候会发出“年~”的声音，所以人们把它叫做：年兽。在每年春天最黑暗的夜晚，新月new moon挂在天上，年兽就会出现，它会跑到村庄里，吓唬村子里的人，吃掉村子里的动物，所以每年春天人们特别害怕新月的升起。但是时间一久，人们渐渐发现年兽害怕三样东西，那就是红色、火光和巨大的响声；于是后来的人们在每年年兽将要到来的时候就会聚到一起，贴上红色的纸（后来逐渐改为贴红对联），挂上红色的灯笼，放鞭炮等等，目的就是为了赶走年兽。当年兽被赶走以后，人们总是会高兴地说到：“又熬过一个年了。”所以慢慢的就有了过年的说法，也由此出现过年的习俗了。后来人们会在春天的时候，庆祝新月的升起而不是害怕它，这个庆祝活动，变成了现在持续15天的中国农历新年，也叫春节。它代表着幸福和新的开始。

How do we make an apology in Chinese? 
对不起[duì bù qǐ]，抱歉 [bào qiàn]  /不好意思 [bù hǎo yì si]

If you bump into someone else on the street. you can say: 抱歉/不好意思/对不起
I'm sorry for being late 抱歉我迟到了。/对不起我迟到了。/不好意思我迟到了。
Sorry I didn’t hear you. 抱歉/不好意思/对不起，我没有听到你说的话。
Sorry, could you repeated it again? 抱歉/不好意思/对不起，你可以重新说一遍吗？

really sorry  很抱歉 [hěn bào qiàn]， 很 means very
I'm really sorry for being late. 很抱歉我迟到了。

You also can say 非常抱歉/非常不好意思 [fēi cháng]，非常 also means very, extremely; highly
I'm really sorry for being late.非常抱歉/非常不好意思我迟到了。

Cara：I’m really sorry, is your car okay？非常不好意思，你的车有没有事？ 
The driver：It’s okay, you can go. 没事，你可以走了。

It’s okay in Chinese, 没事[méi shì]/没关系[méi guān xi]
It's OK. Don't worry about it. 没关系，不要放在心上。
