Así que diseñé algunas preguntas y respuestas para entrar en tema.

Many Chinese learners feel confused because these two words seem similar and are sometimes translated the same way in English.
Are they really interchangeable? When can you use one but not the other?

おはようございます。日本語だんだんポットキャストのゆかりです。

私はいま、マレーシアにいます。

今日の天気(てんき)は晴(は)れ。
とても暑(あつ)いです。

マレーシアでは、突然(とつぜん)、雨が降(ふ)ります。

晴れているのに、
急(きゅう)に雨が降ります。

「スコール」というものですね。

シンガポールでも、スコールがありました。

だいたい30分ぐらいざーっと降って・・

また、すぐに晴れます。

日本には、スコールはありません。

雨の日は、ずっと雨が降っていることが
多いです。

日本とはまったくちがう天候(てんこう)が、
おもしろいですね。

そういえば、
日本語には、天気の"雨"という言葉もありますが、
おかしの"あめ"という意味もあります。

"あめ"は甘いおかし、キャンディのことですね。

発音(はつおん)がちょっとちがうのですが、

私はふだんは、あまりそこは考(かんが)えていません。
文(ぶん)の中で、意味がわかりますね。

"今日の天気は雨かぁ"というと、

おかしのあめが降ってくるとは思いませんね。
