Hace unas semanas, en un audio-artículo de este blog escribí y hablé de la pérdida de fonemas conforme las lenguas se iban expandiendo por este planeta, obviamente al ritmo de la expansión humana. ¿Sí? Pues hoy en día, que no queda nada por ser descubierto por nuestros ojos y todo el mundo cabe en un dispositivo electrónico con conexión a Internet, el proceso de “simplificación” sigue su curso.

这是我的第四次推送。今天要给大家分享的字是，“独“，孤独的独，独自的独。

“独”是一个，单个的意思。这个字呢，左边是犬字旁，指的是狗；右边是个虫子，也是一种小动物。那一只狗和一只虫子，为什么组成了“一个”“单个”的意思呢。

独其实是个会意字，也就是说，它把两个单独的汉字放在一起表示一个新的意义。狗有什么特点呢，它们会为了食物打斗，失败了，狗就逃走，赢了，这只狗就可以独自享受食物。那虫子呢？

在以前，或者在繁体字里，独不是这样写的。犬字旁的右边其实是个“蜀”字。这个“蜀”有时候也用来指四川省，中国西南部的省份。它是指的是一种喜欢独自呆在一种花里的虫子，长得有点像毛毛虫。 

狗喜欢吃独食，这个叫“蜀“的虫子又喜欢独自在花里。那把他们两个放在一起，就变成了独，表示“只有一个”。

那今天给大家分享一个含有“独”的词语，叫“独裁”，“独裁”。大家应该都听说过卓别林，Charlie Chaplin。他有一部非常伟大的电影，叫“The Great Dictator’，讲了一个想要统治全世界的人，翻译成中文，就是《大独裁者》。所以独裁的意思，就是指独自裁断，独揽政权，一个人统治一个国家。而这样的人，就叫，“独裁者”。
