みなさん、こんにちは。おげんきですか。
すっかり、「秋めいてきた」って言いたいところですが、まだまだ暑いです。昨日は少し涼しいですが、今日は暑かった。秋と言えば、なんですか。「食欲の秋」「読書の秋」「芸術の秋」「実りの秋」「スポーツの秋」って感じでしょうか。私は、絶対に「食欲の秋」です。だって、日本の秋は美味しいものがいっぱいなんですよ。果物は、なしにブドウ。日本のシャインマスカット、食べたことがありますか。すっごく美味しいですよ。なしも地域によって品種が違って、おいしいです。ほんといろんな品種があるんです。あー、あとモンブランとかスイートポテトとかもこの時期が最高に美味しいですね。キノコ類も旬の季節です。はい、相変わらず、食べ物の話をすると止まらなくなる私です。毎日、今日は何を食べようかなって考えていますよ。

今日は、私はオンラインで日本語学校の授業がありました。ベトナムの学生5人とのオンライン授業です。
彼らは日本語を勉強し始めて、約半年。そして10月からは日本に留学予定の生徒さんです。
毎日勉強していて、そして少人数でのオンライン授業なので、どんどん上達するんですよ。
非漢字圏なのに5人中１人はN2に合格しているんですよ。そして、そのほかの人達もN3に合格しています。これからもコツコツ頑張ってほしいです。
で、今日の授業の内容は「『オノマトペ』を使って話そう」というのがテーマなんです。うーん、難しかった。
ワンピースやスラムダンクのマンガの一部を使いながら、オノマトペを紹介してからの授業だったんですが。でも、いざ話してみようってなると、みんな「チーン」って。あー――、これはまずいって感じで。「もうすぐ日本に来るんですよね。どんな気持ちですか」って聞くと、「緊張しています。でも楽しみです」って。あー「ドキドキ、わくわく」ってことかなって。「じゃあ、熱いフォーを食べるときは？？」「まず、フーフーして食べたほうがいい。だって、あつあつだから」「ラーメンのようにズーズーとすすって食べますよ」って。うんうん、いいね。「ベトナムの天気はどうですか」「ジメジメしています」「ムシムシしています」「でも太陽がぎらぎらって感じではありません」「からっとした天気でもないです」って。
オノマトペ、難しいですね。
日本人はオノマトペが好きですよ。私の娘なんか、自分の気持ちを話すときは、オノマトペです。「なんか嫌な気持ちがする。モヤっとする。イライラする」って。

How do you improve your IELTS band score. In this podcast I’m going to give you 1 simple strategy to help you get the band score you need.

The technique I’m going to teach you is paraphrase. Yes, paraphrasing is very important, and it’s something that IELTS examiners listen out for. In the IELTS band descriptors you will see that you can not get a band score 6 or 7 unless you can paraphrase effectively.

Let me give you an example.

Let’s say in part 1 the examiner asks you about your hometown and asks you this question: Is your hometown a popular destination for foreigners?

You should answer the question by choosing a synonym for foreigners, for example, tourists.

You could also choose a synonym  for destination, for example visit.

So, when the examiner asks you “Is your hometown a popular destination for foreigners?” you could answer like this:

Yes, many tourists visit my hometown. 

So, you’ve answered the question using paraphrase.

Instead of foreigners you said tourists and instead of destination, you said visit.

Let me teach you again. If the examiner asks you “Is your hometown a popular destination for foreigners?” you could answer:

Yes, many tourists visit my hometown.
