Case Masterclass: -aal and -kondu — By, With and Because Of | Spoken Malayalam #051
الوصف
English "with" does two jobs: "I went with Amma" (company) and "I cut it with scissors" (a tool). English speakers translate directly and use one Malayalam word for both, so they say "kathrikayude koode murichu", which sounds like the scissors came along as a friend. Malayalam separates them.
In this episode:
• Kondu: with a tool
• Made with, made from
• Because of: kaaranam and kondu
• Where -aal still lives
• Who did it: no passive needed
• An invented scene: the broken plate
• Language bridge
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
