Gonna, Wanna, Gotta, Dunno and Innit: British Reductions | Real British English #024
الوصف
Your neighbour says, "I'm gonna pop out, d'you wanna come?" and you freeze, because you were listening for "going to" and "want to". These are reductions: short, squashed forms of very common phrases. British people use them all the time in relaxed speech, but textbooks rarely show them.
In this episode:
• Gonna, wanna, gotta
• Dunno, gimme, lemme
• Of and -ing
• Innit: for recognition
• Listening lab: saturday morning
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
