Lisa puts her backpack on a chair and takes off her coat.  So first make tea.  She walks to the large kitchen at the end of the hall.  The kitchen is for all students together.  And that's not so great.  The kitchen is always dirty and messy.  Very dirty and very messy.  Lisa takes the kettle and puts water in the device.  Then she wants to go back to her room.  But the young man and woman are standing at the kitchen door.  "Excuse me," says the woman.  Dan is not home.  Maybe he went grocery shopping.  Can we wait here for a while?'  "Of course," says Lisa.  Would you like a cup of tea?'  The woman nods.  "gladly," she says

今日は、昨日のテレビで「食品サンプル」についてやっていたので、それについて思ったことを話したいと思います。

皆さんは、食品サンプルというのをご存知ですか？
食品サンプルというのは、よく飲食店の入り口のところに飾られている、料理の見本のことです。それは、本物の食品でできているのではなくて、ずっと飾っておいても腐らない材料でできています。
それを見れば、お店に入らなくても、メニューを見なくても、その店にはどんな料理があるか一目でわかります。
しかも、食べなくてもその美味しさが伝わってくるくらい、よくできています。

実は昨日、3月26日は、食品サンプルの日だそうです。
サンプルのサンが数字の３、プが数字の２、ルが数字の６。
３・２・６・・・ということで、３月26日は食品サンプルの日になったそうです。

そのテレビで、食品サンプルと本物の料理を見分けるクイズがあったのですが、もうリアルすぎて、どっちが本物か区別がつきません。
おにぎりなんか、お米の一粒一粒から、海苔のパリパリ感まで、もはや本物。
私はそのクイズ、ことごとく全て外れました。。。


外国人観光客の方にも、お土産として人気があるようですが、今度日本でお土産を買うとしたら、食品サンプル、いいかもしれません。こっそり食卓に並べて、家族や友達をびっくりさせてみるのも、楽しそうですよ！
