Landing your dream job hinges on more than just qualifications and experience.  The ability to communicate effectively can be the tipping point between an "interviewee" and a "new hire."  Here's how preparation in business communication can propel you towards that coveted job offer:

1. Research is King:  Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to the company you're targeting.  Research their mission, values, and current projects.  This not only demonstrates genuine interest, but also allows you to tailor your responses and showcase how your skills align perfectly with their needs.

2. Craft Your Elevator Pitch:  Imagine a concise, impactful summary of your skills and experience.  This "elevator pitch" could be your first impression, so practice delivering it with confidence.  Focus on achievements and quantifiable results, leaving a lasting impression on potential employers.

3. Anticipate Interview Questions & Prepare Answers:  Common interview questions are a dime a dozen.  Research them online and prepare clear, concise responses that highlight your strengths and accomplishments.  Practice out loud to refine your delivery and ensure you come across as articulate and well-prepared.

4. Dress for Success:  First impressions matter, and your attire speaks volumes.  Research the company culture and dress accordingly.  A professional appearance conveys respect and demonstrates your commitment to the role.

5. Body Language Matters:  Beyond words, nonverbal cues significantly influence how you're perceived.  Maintain eye contact, project confidence through good posture, and avoid fidgeting.  These subtle signals communicate professionalism and enthusiasm.

1.2 - The Dutch vowels

Tecnicamente, em português, as palavras são constituídas por sílabas tônicas, essas sílabas podem ser oxítonas, paroxítonas e proparoxítonas. Oxítona – significa que a sílaba tônica – a sílaba mais forte de uma palavra – é a última, podendo levar acento gráfico ou não. Exemplo: A palavra “anel”possui duas sílabas a-nel , a sílaba tônica é a última, então, a chamamos de oxítona. Da mesma forma que a palavra “chulé”, há duas sílabas nessa palavra chu-lé – é mais fácil identificá-la pois possui um acento gráfico, o acento agudo. Paroxítona – significa que a sílaba tônica é a penúltima, podendo levar acento gráfico ou não. Exemplo: A palavra “caneta” possui três sílabas ca-ne-ta , a mais forte é a penúltima, assim, a chamamos de paroxítona. Do mesmo jeito que a palavra “língua” possui duas sílabas e a tônica é a penúltima lín-gua, sendo mais fácil identificá-la devido ao acento agudo contido na sílaba mais forte. Proparoxítona – significa que a sílaba tônica é a antepenúltima e todas as proparoxítonas são acentuadas. Exemplo: A palavra “lâmpada” tem três sílabas lâm-pa-da e a mais forte é a antepenúltima, levando o acento circunflexo, assim como a palavra “árvore”- tem três sílabas, sendo a antepenúltima, a tônica, levando o acento agudo. No português, as palavras paroxítonas são a maioria, seguida das oxítonas e por último as proparoxítonas (que são menos comuns). Então, a maior parte das palavras em português não leva acento. As a beginner, there're some vocabularies that you didn't learn before, and native speaker's speed seems too fast to understand. But don't worry, let's do it step by step. 
Step 1: listen and catch the words you know already, have a guess about the content.
Step 2: look at the text to check if you guessed it right. 
Step 3: listen one more time, repeat after it.
Step 4: practice until you can speak as the normal speed without looking at the text.

zuó tiān wǒ qù lǐ fà diàn le 。
I went to the barber's yesterday.
我打算烫头发。
wǒ dǎ suàn tàng tóu fà 。
I was going to perm my hair.
发型师先帮我洗头、吹头发。
fà xíng shī xiān bāng wǒ xǐ tóu 、 chuī tóu fà 。
The stylist shampooed and blew my hair first.
我的头发又长又多，发型师帮我剪短剪薄。
wǒ de tóu fà yòu cháng yòu duō ， fà xíng shī bāng wǒ jiǎn duǎn jiǎn báo 。
My hair is long and long. The stylist helped me cut it short and thin.
我选了一个最近很流行的发型：大波浪。
wǒ xuǎn le yí gè zuì jìn hěn liú xíng de fà xíng ： dà bō làng 。
I chose a hairstyle that is very popular these days: big waves.
发型师说染棕色很适合我，我决定试试。
fà xíng shī shuō rǎn zōng sè hěn shì hé wǒ ， wǒ jué dìng shì shì 。
The stylist said that dyeing brown would suit me, so I decided to give it a try.
我的朋友看到我的新发型都说好看。
wǒ de péng yǒu kàn dào wǒ de xīn fà xíng dōu shuō hǎo kàn 。
When my friends saw my new hairstyle, they all said it is nice.
