I’ve always felt that I have the same point of view on things as my parents. We usually agree on many social and political issues. I also enjoy expressing my opinion online, especially when I’m discussing topics that are important to me. However, I’m against freedom of speech in some cases. For example, I don’t think people should be allowed to say things that seriously hurt or threaten other people. At the same time, I’m prepared to admit when I have no idea about a particular topic. I don’t think we should pretend to know everything. Sometimes, I’m willing to listen to other people’s opinions and learn something new. In fact, I sometimes change my mind when I’m discussing things with people. I may start a conversation with a fixed opinion, but after hearing a good argument, I can change my mind. Most importantly, I don’t like to judge people only on their opinions. Someone can disagree with me and still be a good, kind, and respectful person. I think it’s important to listen before we judge.
