Two tiny endings do a lot of work. The -s on a verb tells you the subject is he, she or it ("she wants"). The 's on a noun tells you who owns what ("my brother's car"). What you will learn: • The same three sounds again • Hearing the -S when it is there • When the -S is trimmed in a cluster • The -S as a grammar choice • Possessive 'S: sound and shape • The chains: "my friend'S brother'S car" • "his", "her" and "he'S": words that sound alike • Office and family phrases with these endings • Practice: decode the sentence • Listening strategies • Self-check questions to test your ear Level: B1–B2. Self-study: listen, then take the quizzes. Audio voiced with AI from an original script by Dr. Rashmi R Nair.
